About The Tailor

A bio of how The Tailor came to be.

Hi there! I'm Callum aka "The Tailor"

Prior to becoming a life coach i was in remission from adrenal cancer and unsure of what to do with my life.
I had put 15 years into a career in mechanics gaining my level 3 qualification and working with big companies such as Arnold Clark and The RAC. My aim was to have a garage of my own one day specialising in restoration of project cars.
I was very much a people pleaser and often put how i felt aside to ensure everybody around me was comfortable. Part of this was because of having an underlying heart issue from birth which made me avoid stressful situations.

Despite my achievements and having children i always felt like i was missing something and couldn't name what it was. I tried my best to do the right thing and be a provider but something was just always holding me back or wouldn't allow life to break for me. Every time i made progress, something would knock me back down and would have to start again.

Since being diagnosed with adrenal cancer and undergoing surgery which saved my life. I firstly lost everything, family, home, business.
The lot gone seven days into chemo.

I spent the next two years going through the motions and trying to understand and work out where my life was going next. I managed to get a flat for myself, which i'm proud of and start making steps with my life. I reached out to a charity called "Shine" cancer support for young people. I went to an overnight event with them and found what i'd been looking for my whole life.
I connected with people on a different level but most of all i found what i wanted to do.
Speaking to people at the event made me realise how many people are just left to it after treatment or surgery.
We all had or had been through something so simple but similar that's missing in recovery.
